Job Description of API Architects in Sydney

Responsibilities

n

- Designing and developing API proxies using Apigee Edge.
n
- Designing API proxies from existing SOAP or REST services.
n
- Responsible for the solution architecture for the API platform and API onboarding.
n
- Experience in creating custom message policies using Java.
n
- Robust understanding of SOAP and RESTful services.
n
- Strong understanding of API security policies (BasicAuth, OAuth, WS-Security token, etc.).
n
- Strong understanding of API management life cycle components: creating environments, virtual hosts, API proxies, cache, products, and publishing to the portal.
n
- Experience in designing and pushing APIs (YAML)



using API Designer.
n
- Experience in creating custom policies using gateway scripts or DP processing rules and configuring message assemblies.
n
- Experience in deprecating/superseding API products as part of API lifecycle.
n
- Experience in creating processing rules using XMLT and gateway scripts.
n
- Experience in testing the services using SoapUI or Postman tools.
n
- Apigee installation and configuration.
n
- Good communication skills and experience with Agile development.
