About the role

DWF is seeking a motivated Lawyer or Associate with up to 2 to 7 years' post-qualification experience to join the growing Liability Team. Based in either Newcastle or Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Adelaide, you will work closely with experienced practitioners on complex and interesting claims across a diverse insurance portfolio, including Lloyd's of London and international insurer clients.

Key responsibilities

- Manage and assist with defendant insurance litigation matters
- Work directly with domestic and international insurer clients
- Draft legal advice, pleadings, and court documents
- Attend mediations, settlement conferences, and court appearances
- Collaborate with a supportive and high-performing team

About you

- Admitted solicitor with up to 2 - 7 years PQE
- Experience in insurance, liability, litigation, or dispute resolution is desirable
- Solid communication, drafting, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and build client relationships
- A proactive and team-oriented approach
