We are seeking a friendly and energetic experienced Retail Counter Hand to join our team at the Strange Grains Gluten Free Bakery in Shenton Park, WA. This is a full time position where you will be responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, maintaining the display counter, and ensuring a positive in-store experience.
What you'll be doing
- Greeting customers and providing excellent customer service
- Helping customers select and purchase baked goods from the display counter
- Ensuring the display counter is well-stocked, organised and visually appealing
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the bakery retail area
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as needed
- Providing feedback and suggestions to improve the customer experience
What we're looking for
- Must be able to work full time hours Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday
- Previous experience in a customer-facing retail or hospitality role
- Barista knowledge an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
- Passion for food and/or gluten free products, and a desire to provide an exceptional customer experience
- Comfortable working as part of a team and taking direction
- No visa restrictions
