Tasty Treats Location: Alice Springs, Northern Territory Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum + superannuation About Tasty Treats Tasty Treats is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Barista to join our hospitality team in the Northern Territory. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including espresso-based coffee, while providing high-quality customer service and maintaining clean and well-organised bar and beverage service areas.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Preparing, serving and selling cocktails, mixed drinks and a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Preparing espresso-based coffee beverages including lattes, cappuccinos and other specialty coffees.
- Selecting and grinding coffee beans according to beverage preparation requirements.
- Maintaining cleanliness of bar areas, coffee stations, espresso machines and associated equipment.
- Processing customer payments and accurately operating cash registers and point-of-sale systems.
- Providing friendly and effective customer service.
- Recommending and promoting beverages, snacks and other available products to customers.
- Washing, polishing and organising glasses, bottles and other bar equipment.
- Tapping kegs and connecting beverage supply lines where required.
- Monitoring and replenishing stock in beverage dispensers, shelves, refrigerators and service areas.




- Preparing and selling light snacks and refreshments.
- Monitoring beverage and coffee supplies and advising management when additional stock is required.
- Maintaining appropriate hygiene, food safety and workplace safety standards.
- Ensuring bar and coffee preparation areas remain clean, functional and presentable throughout service.
- Working effectively with other hospitality staff during busy service periods.

Skills and Experience Applicants should have:
- At least one year of previous relevant work experience in a bar, café, restaurant or similar hospitality environment.
- Experience preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Experience preparing espresso-based coffee beverages.
- Good knowledge of coffee preparation and commercial espresso equipment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Experience handling cash and operating point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to maintain clean and organised beverage service areas.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy hospitality environment.
- Good time-management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A responsible approach to workplace safety, hygiene and customer service.
