Blenners Transportis seeking a qualifiedPanel Beater / Spray Painterto join the workshop team at our Tully Depot. This hands-on role is responsible for repairing, restoring, preparing, and refinishing heavy vehicle bodies, trailers, and transport equipment to the highest safety and quality standards.

Working within a professional workshop environment, you will assess damage, carry out panel repairs, perform spray-painting activities, and ensure all work complies with Workplace Health & Safety requirements, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations, and company procedures. This position offers the opportunity to work with a modern refrigerated transport fleet and contribute to maintaining the presentation and operational integrity of our equipment.

Position Requirements

n

n
- Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology, Automotive Refinishing Technology, or an equivalent trade qualification.
n
- Proven experience in panel beating, spray painting, or heavy vehicle body repair and refinishing.
n
- Current Driver's Licence; Forklift Licence (LF/TLILIC0003) highly regarded.
n
- Experience in a transport, heavy vehicle, or workshop setting is preferred.
n
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to work independently and within a team.
n
- Good communication skills and flexibility to work additional hours, weekends, or public holidays when required.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Repair, replace, align, and restore damaged truck panels, body structures, and transport equipment.
n
- Perform welding, fabrication, surface preparation, and automotive body repair work to a high standard.
n
- Prepare, mix, and apply primers and paint finishes using spray-painting equipment and industry best practices.
n
- Inspect completed repairs and refinishing work to ensure quality, safety, and presentation standards are met.
n
- Maintain workshop equipment, a clean work environment, and comply with all WHS, CoR, HACCP, and company requirements.
n
- Work collaboratively with the workshop team while contributing to safety initiatives, training, and continuous improvement activities.
