Our client is a well-established, locally owned business that has proudly serviced the Border region for more than 30 years. Their reputation has been built on providing exceptional customer service, quality workmanship, and reliable support to a loyal customer base.
Due to the resignation of a long-term employee, an opportunity has become available for a qualified Mechanic to join their experienced team of five technicians.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing faults and repairing a range of equipment, including:
- Forklifts
- Plant and construction equipment
- Diesel-powered machinery
Working both in the workshop and on-site, you'll deliver high-quality service to customers through preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and fault diagnosis.
What You'll Need
- Trade qualification as a Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Current driver's licence (forklift licence highly regarded)
- Experience working with hydraulics
- Strong diagnostic and servicing skills, ideally within the materials handling, plant or heavy equipment industry
- A commitment to safe work practices
- The ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively within a small team
