Join City of Parramatta as a Swim Instructor at the Parramatta Aquatic Centre (The PAC). The role focuses on delivering City of Parramatta's aquatic education and water safety programs with high-quality lesson content aligned with the program's goals and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Instruct lessons for students in water safety, water familiarisation, learn to swim and squads.
n
- Plan and deliver lessons with an emphasis on safety and variety for participants.
n
- Evaluate and adjust lesson plans to cater for the needs of the students.
n
- Organise and monitor the condition of teaching equipment for each lesson.
n
- Regularly assess students' progress.
n
- Provide a customer‐oriented environment.
n
- Promote teamwork and effective communication through collaborative work practices.
n
n
About You
n
The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching swimming and water safety. No prior teaching experience is required. Flexibility and willingness to work a 7‐day rotating roster across multiple facilities is also required.

Required Qualifications

- Current Australian Swimming & Water Safety qualification
n
- Current CPR Certificate
n
- NSW Working with Children Check
n
n
Desired Qualifications

- Experience in swim teaching/coaching at all levels from Infants to Squads
n
- First aid certificate
n
- Current Australian Teacher of Infant & Preschool qualification
n
- Current Australian Teacher of Access & Inclusion qualification
n
- Current Australian Teacher of Adult qualification
n
- Current Australian Teacher of Competitive Strokes qualification
n
- Pool Lifeguard qualification
n
