We're partnering with a leading organisation to recruit a senior Financial Accountant to join their growing finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys technical accounting, financial reporting and driving continuous improvement within a business undergoing significant transformation.

As the business continues to modernise its finance function, you'll have the opportunity to influence new processes, streamline reporting and bring fresh ideas to the team.

Included In What You'll Do

n

n
- Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journals, reconciliations, accruals and adjustments
n
- Prepare monthly management reports, reporting schedules and group reporting submissions
n
- Assist with quarterly external audit reviews and year-end financial statement preparation
n
- Prepare statutory and regulatory reporting, including APRA, AFIA and ASIC reporting
n
- Liaise with external auditors and key stakeholders across the business
n
- Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, SOX requirements and group reporting obligations
n
- Support finance transformation initiatives and ERP implementation activities
n
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and automation
n
- Provide financial analysis and commentary to support business decision making
n

What You Have

n

To be successful, you'll bring:

n

n




- CA qualification with approximately 4-6 years' experience in financial accounting or audit
n
- Previous Big 4 experience
n
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
n
- Experience with statutory and regulatory reporting
n
- Exposure to SOX compliance and US GAAP (desirable)
n
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
n
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
n
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
n
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or other ERP systems will be highly regarded
n
