Grand Ridge Environmental Services (GRES) is an expanding environmental management company operating across Gippsland, Victoria. Our clients include one of Australia’s largest private timber plantation companies, not-for-profit environmental organisations and carbon off-setters, local councils, Landcare groups and landholders, and state authorities such as VicRoads and Parks Victoria.

- various weed control methods, including high-volume spraying, knapsack spraying, and aerial application through partnered collaboration

- 12 minutes from Mirboo North

About the role - Bush Crew Member As a Bush Crew Member at Grand Ridge Environmental Services (GRES), you will efficiently and effectively undertake various forms of environmental management,
with the opportunity to expand into a broader range of activities applicable to your experience and skill set.
Main duties include
- operating a spray unit
- knapsack weed control
- cut/paint using hand tools
- tree planting/fertilising.
Considerable amounts of work are on a hectare/piece rate basis, meaning efficient work will result in a greater income. You must pass a mandatory drug and alcohol and pre-employment medical test before commencement.
About you
Essential
- Good level of fitness and capability.
- Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
- Self-motivated and reliable individual.
- Practical knowledge and experience in relevant industries/trades.
Beneficial
- First Aid Level 2.
- CFA/fire qualifications (GFF or Minimum Skills).
- ACUP/chemical accreditation.
- Chainsaw ticket.
- Weed control experience.
- 4WD and off-road driving experience.
- MR Truck License.
You must pass a mandatory drug and alcohol and pre-employment medical test before commencement. Note: Our Delburn Depot is a recent expansion, with our current/main depot based at Boolarra South. The plan is to move into the Delburn Depot within the next few months.
