We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the Business Analysis Chapter within the Information Technology Unit 18-months Fixed Term Contract basis. Working within the Business Operations Technology (BOT) Agile Release Train, you will collaborate with stakeholders across business and technology teams to improve customer journeys, drive process improvements and deliver high-quality business analysis outcomes that support strategic objectives.

About the Team The Business Analysis Chapter is responsible for delivering high-quality business analysis services, promoting best practices and driving continuous improvement across business analysis capabilities at UTS. This role will be positioned within the Business Operations Technology (BOT) portfolio, primarily supporting student acquisition-related business initiatives and technology platforms that enhance prospective student experiences and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Elicit, analyse and document business requirements, translating them into epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate workshops and collaborate with stakeholders across marketing, recruitment, product and technology teams to deliver business outcomes.
- Analyse customer journeys, digital experiences and business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
- Develop business analysis artefacts including process maps, requirements documentation, business cases and workflow models.
- Support Agile delivery activities including discovery, backlog refinement, prioritisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure solutions meet user needs and align with strategic objectives.
- Analyse data, insights and performance metrics to support decision-making and measure business outcomes.
- Ensure governance, accessibility, privacy and compliance requirements are considered throughout analysis and solution design activities.

About You

As a Business Analyst, you have:

- Demonstrated experience eliciting, analysing, documenting and validating business requirements,



and translating them into epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria that enable effective delivery outcomes within Agile environments.
- Proven ability to build productive relationships and facilitate workshops with diverse stakeholders, including business leaders, marketing and recruitment teams, product managers, technical teams and subject matter experts to achieve shared outcomes and influence decision-making.
- Demonstrated experience analysing and improving customer journeys, business processes, and digital experiences, including identifying opportunities to enhance user experience, lead generation, conversion and service outcomes. Knowledge of student recruitment and admissions processes within the higher education sector will be highly regarded.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess business needs, evaluate options and use data-driven insights to support decision-making and business outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear business analysis artefacts, including requirements documentation, process maps, user stories, business cases and change materials.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in Agile, multidisciplinary teams, contributing to backlog refinement, prioritisation, discovery activities and continuous improvement initiatives while balancing competing stakeholder priorities.
- Knowledge of digital experience platforms, content management systems, customer relationship management (CRM) solutions and enterprise business system
- Experience with platforms such as Optimizely, Salesforce, TechnologyOne, CourseLoop, Canvas, Boomi, or similar ecosystems will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated understanding of governance, accessibility, privacy and compliance considerations, with the ability to incorporate these requirements into business analysis activities and solution design

Remuneration & Benefits:

Base Salary Range: $128,027 to $137,609 pa (HEW 8)

This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a 18 months fixed term basis.
