Nippon Paint Automotive Refinish is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join our team in Queensland, Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in growing our Automotive Refinish business, building strong customer partnerships and expanding our presence across the Queensland market.

? About the Role:

As a Business Development Manager – Automotive Refinish, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with customers across the automotive refinish industry.

You will work closely with collision repairers, body shops, distributors, commercial vehicle customers, trailer manufacturers and other automotive customers, providing the right product solutions while delivering excellent customer service and technical support.

? Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets across Queensland
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the automotive refinish market
- Manage and grow an assigned territory and customer portfolio
- Promote Nippon Paint Automotive Refinish products, systems and solutions
- Develop relationships with AR distributors, collision repairers, commercial vehicle body makers and trailer manufacturers and identify opportunities for business growth
- Conduct customer visits, product demonstrations and presentations
- Understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs
- Work closely with internal teams, distributors and technical specialists to deliver excellent customer outcomes
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM activities and territory plans
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of the Nippon Paint Automotive Refinish business in Australia

? About You: We are looking for someone who has:





✅ Proven experience in sales, business development or account management, preferably within the automotive/refinish, coatings or related industry

✅ Strong understanding of the automotive repair and refinish industry

✅ Experience working with body shops, collision repairers, distributors, commercial vehicle customers or trailer manufacturers is highly desirable

✅ Strong commercial, negotiation and relationship-building skills

✅ A proactive, customer-focused and results-oriented mindset

✅ Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills

✅ Ability to work independently and manage a field-based territory

✅ Current Australian driver's licence and unrestricted working rights in Australia

Automotive trade/refinish experience is highly valued. Candidates with robust automotive technical knowledge and a genuine interest in developing their sales career are also encouraged to apply.
