Permanent, full time position available - 80 hours per fortnight.
Up to $134,498.00 (ZA7) - $137,696.00 (ZA8) per annum.
Parkville location with multiple public transport options.

About the Team
Our Stomal Therapy and Wound Management team provides specialised care to patients across Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Led by the Stomal Therapy and Wound Clinical Nurse Consultant Team Lead, the service supports patients with stomas, complex wounds, skin integrity concerns and cancer treatment‑related complications across inpatient and outpatient settings.

About the Role
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant - Skin Integrity and Wound Management, you will provide specialist leadership in skin integrity and wound management across Peter Mac.
Working within the Stomal Therapy and Wound Management team and reporting to the Stomal Therapy and Wound Clinical Nurse Consultant Team Lead, you will support patients with complex,
chronic and oncology‑related wounds while leading initiatives that enhance clinical practice and patient outcomes.
This role combines advanced clinical practice with education, quality improvement, pressure injury prevention, research and service development.
In this role, you will:
Provide specialist assessment and management of complex wounds and skin integrity issues across inpatient and outpatient services.
Support patients with cancer‑related wounds, surgical wounds, radiation‑related skin injuries and pressure injuries.
Deliver consultation, education and support to nursing, medical and allied health staff.
Lead initiatives to reduce hospital‑acquired pressure injuries and improve skin integrity outcomes.
Develop clinical guidelines, pathways and resources that promote best practice.
Contribute to audit, research and quality improvement activities.
Partner with the Stomal Therapy team to deliver coordinated patient care.
Support the development of outpatient and nurse‑led wound management services.
About You
You are an experienced and passionate clinician with advanced expertise in wound management and skin integrity. You are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and thrive in a collaborative environment where innovation, education and continuous improvement are valued.
You will bring:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA.
Postgraduate qualification in wound management, stomal therapy, continence or a related specialty, or a commitment to working towards one.
Minimum five years' experience in advanced wound management.
Sound knowledge of NSQHS Standards and other national standards relating to Comprehensive Care.
Demonstrated expertise in skin integrity and complex wound management, including oncology‑related wounds.
Proven experience in education, clinical leadership and quality improvement.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
