Experienced Company Accountant - Full-Time

IA Accounting is seeking an experienced and reliable Company Accountant to join our team in a full-time position.

This role is five days per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. We are looking for an experienced accountant who can confidently manage a variety of accounting responsibilities while maintaining accurate records and meeting all relevant deadlines.

Key responsibilities:

- Preparing financial statements, management reports and budgets
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Processing payroll and employee entitlements
- Completing bank and credit card reconciliations
- Preparing and lodging BAS, IAS and other compliance documents
- Assisting with individual, company, trust and partnership tax returns
- Maintaining accurate general ledgers and financial records
- Monitoring cash flow, budgeting, expenses and business performance
- Preparing financial reports and providing information to management
- Ensuring compliance with taxation, accounting and regulatory requirements
- Liaising professionally with clients, suppliers, the ATO and other external parties




- Managing client records and following up on outstanding information
- Using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB and Microsoft Excel
- Supporting the wider team with additional accounting and administrative duties when required

The successful applicant will have:

- Previous experience working as an accountant
- A relevant qualification in accounting, finance or a related field
- Robust knowledge of Australian accounting and taxation requirements
- Experience preparing BAS, financial statements and tax returns
- Confidence using Xero, Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A professional, reliable and client-focused attitude
