About Youth2Industry College
Youth2Industry College is a small, specialist Independent School dedicated to supporting young people who are at risk of disengaging from education. The College delivers the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) and VCE Vocational Major (VM) to Year 11 and 12 students in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment.
Based in South Melbourne, the College supports approximately 70 students aged 15–19 who are referred by mainstream schools, community service providers and clinicians.
Youth2Industry College takes a holistic, strength-based approach to education, with a strong focus on each student’s individual support needs, learning style and future goals. Small student numbers enable staff to build genuine relationships and provide tailored support that helps students develop their skills, confidence and future pathways.
The Role
Youth2Industry College is seeking an organised, student-focused and adaptable VET Coordinator to oversee the effective coordination and administration of its Vocational Education and Training programs.
This varied role will support students to access meaningful vocational pathways while ensuring VET programs are delivered efficiently and in accordance with relevant regulatory, funding and College requirements.
Working closely with students, caregivers, College staff, Registered Training Organisations, TAFEs and community partners, the VET Coordinator will manage enrolments, documentation, attendance, progress monitoring and provider relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the scheduling, delivery and administration of VET programs, including enrolments, timetabling, attendance, assessment records and completion data.
Manage VET documentation, including purchasing and contracts, invoices, funding records and provider documentation.
Liaise with internal staff, RTOs,
TAFEs and other external providers to support effective program delivery.
Monitor student participation, attendance, progress and completion, escalating concerns and coordinating additional support where required.
Provide students and caregivers with clear information about VET options, entry requirements, fees, expectations and future pathways.
Work alongside the Careers Coordinator to help students select vocational pathways aligned with their strengths, interests and goals.
Coordinate student applications, enrolments, induction processes and supporting documentation.
Maintain accurate records in accordance with College, funding, regulatory, privacy and child-safety requirements.
Prepare reports relating to enrolments, attendance, progress, completions, outcomes, risks and program performance.
Collect and distribute reports from external training providers to students and caregivers.
Build and maintain effective relationships with RTOs, TAFEs, employers, industry groups and community organisations.
Visit training providers where required to check on students and provide additional support.
Represent the College at relevant VET, careers, pathways and industry forums.
Contribute to continuous improvement and the future development of vocational and applied-learning pathways.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A relevant qualification in education, careers, training, administration or a related field, or demonstrated experience in one or more of these areas.
Experience supporting young people or working in a student, education, training or administration environment.
Strong administration and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Confidence maintaining records, using systems and managing detailed documentation.
The ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with students, caregivers, colleagues and external providers.
A student-centred approach and a genuine interest in helping young people engage in education and vocational pathways.
An understanding of inclusive practice and the needs of diverse learners.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a close-knit team.
Sound judgement and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
Flexibility, resilience and the ability to manage competing priorities.
A positive, caring and respectful approach to student safety, wellbeing and learning.
The successful candidate must also hold:
A current Working with Children Check.
A satisfactory National Police Check.
Valid working rights in Australia.
A current driver licence is desirable, as the position may involve travel to training providers, employers or placement locations.
