About the Role

Arias Disability Care is a fast-growing NDIS service provider committed to delivering first-class, person-centred care to individuals living with disability. As our team expands, we are currently looking for dedicated and experienced Disability Support Workers to support one of our high-needs NDIS participants in Raceview, QLD.

n

We are seeking compassionate and skilled support workers to provide 1:1 in-home care to a participant who requires a high level of support and is primarily bedridden. You will assist with:

- Personal care
n
- Hoisting and manual handling
n
- Meal preparation
n
- Household tasks
n
- Community access and attending a day program
n
- Attending medical and other appointments
n

n

This position requires two support workers at most times due to the complexity of care. Female workers with hoist and manual handling experience are strongly preferred. Shifts Available: 8–10 hours or 8–12 hours per shift. Preferred availability: Between 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM; 2:00 - 10:00 PM.

Key Requirements

n

n
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or Mental Health
n




- At least 6 months' experience supporting individuals with disability
n
- Experience in SIL and/or STA settings (advantageous)
n
- Manual handling and hoist experience (essential)
n
- Female applicants strongly preferred for this role
n
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
n
- Valid Blue Card (Working with Children)
n
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificate
n
- COVID-19 fully vaccinated
n
- Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
n
- Must be willing to travel to Raceview, QLD
n
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module and Infection Control Training
n
- Excellent communication skills; English must be first language
n
- Preferably Australian citizens only
n
- Able to provide 2–3 professional, industry-related references
n
