Swissôtel Sydney is looking to welcome a Full Time Shift Engineer to join our Engineering Department.

Job Description

About The Role:
n
Working directly with the Hotel Chief Engineer and wider in house Engineering team, your main duties and responsibilities are included but not limited to:
n
n
- Complete daily plant rounds and note for repair any equipment that may appear or sound faulty.
n
- Carry out maintenance on mechanical equipment and water reticulation to ensure acceptable availability and reliability.
n
- Ensure all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly.
n
- To carry out maintenance requirements and follow up as scheduled by the Hotels' Property Management System.
n
- Assist in keeping up to date records on the repair and maintenance of plant and equipment.
n
- Liaise with supervisor / manager / contractor regarding all work in guest rooms and public areas to ensure out of order areas of the hotel are brought back into use as soon as possible.

Qualifications
n
About You:
n
n
- Established experience in similar role – hotel environment strongly preferred
n
- "Hands on" maintenance and repairs experience
n
- Personable demeanor with natural ability to interact with guests
n
- Dedicated work ethic, with an eye for detail and accuracy
n
- Competency in working both collaboratively and independently
n
- Creative and adaptive problem solving skills and ability to manage deadlines
n
- Full working rights in Australia with availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends.
