– Casual Relief Teacher (CRT) – pre-booked daily and block work

Locations across Melbourne’s Southeast:

- Frankston
- Greater Dandenong (Keysborough, Dandenong, etc.)

Requirements:

- Current VIT membership (or be in the application process)
- Right to work in Australia
- Updated CV

Key Responsibilities

The Casual Relief Teacher will provide effective temporary classroom instruction in the absence of the regular teacher.



Key responsibilities include:

- Delivering prepared lesson plans and learning activities effectively.
- Maintaining high standards of student learning, engagement and behaviour.
- Providing appropriate duty of care and ensuring student safety at all times.
- Creating a positive, productive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Adapting to different classroom settings, student needs and school environments.
- Working collaboratively with school staff and contributing positively to the wider school team.
- Supporting the mission, vision and values of each school.
- Undertaking yard duty, supervision and other reasonable duties as required.
- Following school policies, procedures and expectations while maintaining professional standards.
- Supporting continuity of learning and contributing to the school’s educational goals on an as-needed basis.

Skill & Experience

Must hold a recognised teaching degree and current VIT registration. Solid classroom management and communication skills required. Graduate teachers are encouraged to apply.
