An exciting opportunity has become available to join one of our established surgical specialist clients, located in Spring Hill within the Brisbane CBD.
n
Our client is a highly regarded and well-established Surgical Specialist practice, supported by a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional patient care. They are seeking an experienced, highly organised, and reliable Theatre Bookings Coordinator to join their Brisbane team on a full-time permanent basis.
n
This Monday to Friday position offers some flexibility around start and finish times, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced healthcare administration professional seeking stability and a supportive working environment.
n
The successful candidate will bring a mature and confident skill set, with proven experience coordinating and managing theatre bookings, ensuring the smooth day-to-day scheduling of surgical procedures and providing outstanding support to patients, specialists and theatre teams.
n
Key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
n
n
- Managing incoming calls and responding to general patient enquiries in a professional and timely manner
n
- Preparing accurate theatre quotations and supporting patients through the financial aspects of their procedures
n
- Coordinating patient education for all theatre procedures, ensuring patients are well informed, prepared for surgery,
and supported with any immediate concerns or required documentation
n
- Managing pre-operative and post-operative appointments, ensuring seamless patient care and follow-up
n
- Booking theatre procedures and liaising closely with hospitals, theatre staff, assistants and other key stakeholders
n
- Managing theatre billing processes and providing occasional support with consultation billing at the front desk
n
n
Working collaboratively within a supportive and friendly surgical specialist team in a busy, fast-paced healthcare environment
n
Skills and experienced required for this position will include:
n
n
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a surgical specialist practice or healthcare environment
n
- Experience using medical practice management systems including Genie, Eclipse, Meadow and Medical Objects, with confidence working within an Apple Mac IT workplace
n
- A friendly, professional, and courteous telephone manner with a strong patient-focused approach
n
- Immaculate personal presentation and a professional demeanour
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with patients, specialists, hospitals, and team members
n
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy, fast-paced workplace
n
n
Remuneration:
n
A highly competitive remuneration package of $43 - $47 per hour + superannuation will be offered to the successful candidate, commensurate with experience and skills. A secure car park will also be provided as part of the package.
