Head of Return to Work | Occupational Rehabilitation

Are you an experienced Occupational Rehabilitation professional ready to take the next step into senior leadership?

Do you love improving systems, developing people and seeing your ideas translate into better Return to Work outcomes?

Do you want the opportunity to take ownership of a growing RTW team and help shape where it goes next?

About You

You are an experienced Occupational Rehabilitation skilled who understands what great Return to Work looks like.

You’re a natural leader who enjoys developing people, solving problems and improving the way a team operates.

You don't just identify that something isn't working, you take ownership, work out why and make sure the solution is actually implemented.

You enjoy using data, systems and processes to improve performance, but you also understand that great RTW outcomes ultimately come from great people making good decisions.

Perhaps you’ve been working as a Senior Rehabilitation Consultant, Team Leader or Rehabilitation Manager and know you're capable of contributing at a higher level.

Things are about to change. Read on to hear how.

The Opportunity

My Health Team is looking for an experienced Head of Return to Work to provide operational leadership and oversight of our growing Return to Work division.

This isn't simply another case management position.

You will have genuine ownership of how our RTW operations perform.

Working closely with our Senior Management team and RTW Team Leader, you'll help ensure our people, systems and processes consistently deliver high-quality outcomes for injured workers, employers and insurers.

You’ll take responsibility for areas including:

Operational performance of the RTW division

Quality assurance and case governance

KPI and SLA performance

Supporting and developing our RTW Team Leader

Improving systems and operational processes

Monitoring higher-risk, stalled and complex claims

Using data to identify risks and opportunities

Implementing and embedding operational improvements

Ensuring actions and agreed changes happen

Importantly, this isn't a role where you'll sit on the sidelines producing reports.

You will use reporting and data to identify problems, make decisions and drive measurable improvements across the team.

You’ll also maintain a limited case management workload so you remain connected to the realities of frontline RTW service delivery.

What You'll Get to Build

Our Return to Work division is growing, and we’re looking for someone who wants to help us take it to the next level.

If you like accountability, continuous improvement and having the authority to make a genuine difference, you’ll enjoy this role.

About Us

My Health Team is a multidisciplinary allied health and workplace rehabilitation organisation focused on achieving great outcomes for our clients, employers and insurers.

We are continuing to grow our Return to Work services and have ambitious plans for the future.

We’re committed to building a high-performing team while maintaining the supportive, enjoyable culture that has helped My Health Team grow.

We believe good leadership means providing people with clear expectations, the right systems and support, and then creating accountability for delivering great outcomes.

This role will be an important part of that next stage.

To Be Successful in This Role

You will ideally have:

A minimum of 5 years' experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation

At least 2 years' experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity

Robust knowledge and experience across Return to Work and occupational rehabilitation

Experience managing, mentoring or developing rehabilitation consultants

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The ability to identify performance issues and implement practical solutions

Excellent organisational and project management skills

Confidence working with KPIs, operational data and performance measures

A relevant allied health qualification and appropriate Australian professional registration/accreditation

A current unrestricted driver's licence

Experience in quality assurance, operational management, process improvement or rehabilitation leadership will be highly regarded.

This Role Will Suit You If...

You're looking for more than simply managing your own caseload.

You want to lead, improve and build.

You want to be trusted to identify problems and given the chance to solve them.

And you want the opportunity to play an important role in the growth of a business rather than simply filling a position within one.

If you're an experienced Occupational Rehabilitation professional who believes you can help us build an exceptional Return to Work operation, we would love to meet you.

Tell us why this opportunity is for you!
