The company you'll join
They're an Australian-owned outsourcing business that connects Australian financial services firms with dedicated, full-time, Philippines-based team members. Eight-plus years in market, they now support 370+ clients with 800+ team members across more than 30 industry solutions. Financial planning is one of their two core verticals alongside mortgage broking, with further reach into accounting, insurance, non-bank lending, legal and healthcare. Inside planning practices, their offshore team members take on paraplanning, implementation, data collection and integrity, document management, client care and general administration. The result is a practice principal who gets real capacity back, not just a cheaper hourly rate. Clients typically cut operational costs by 50-70%, with one lender reporting a 40% lift in processing capacity alongside a 60% cost reduction.
What separates them from the cheap-seat operators is the wrap-around. An intensive recruitment process, a dedicated Training Academy running role-specific programs for planning and broking, and a systems and AI automation capability that lifts productivity rather than simply shifting tasks offshore. They're ISO 27001 certified and run two Philippines-based delivery offices, with in-house recruitment, training and client delivery teams supporting every account.
With years of positive momentum behind them,
an opportunity currently exists for two new BDMs to join their team - dedicated mainly to the financial planning sector. You'll join a business with genuine market traction, a proven delivery engine behind you and industry-experienced (sales) leadership charting a clear and strategic path toward double-digit annual growth.
The impact you'll make
This is a true new business hunting role with national scope - an opportunity to build / own your sales pipeline from the ground up. With no existing accounts to slow you down, you'll leverage your own networks, referral partners and connections across the financial planning sector to autonomously build your book of business.
You'll focus on
- Financial planning practices nationally, from single-adviser firms through to larger multi-adviser groups, with scope to work adjacent segments where the opportunity is there.
- You'll be commercially credible in front of practice principals, selling labour economics, capacity and productivity rather than competing on price.
- You'll own the full sales cycle, from first conversation and discovery through to a signed client and the recruitment of their first offshore team member.
- Once the deal is signed, the Philippines-based recruitment, training and client delivery teams take over, so your time stays on selling and solutioning rather than sourcing candidates or managing delivery; you'll receive commissions on any and all account growth over the first 12 months
- You'll run a disciplined process against weekly activity targets and monthly recent client acquisition targets,
managing your pipeline in HubSpot and working to 90-day plans.
BDMs in this business typically secure 4-6 new clients per month - with the average account starting with 1-2 offshore team members, growing to 3-8+ over the first year depending on practice size. Fully remote, you can be based in either Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Canberra - reporting to and supported by their Gold Coast-based Head of Sales, with occasional domestic travel to industry events and conferences.
The experience you'll bring
- At least 3 years selling into financial advisers, with a demonstrated track record of self-sourcing and closing new business - i.e. you have existing relationships with advisers and practice principals that you can activate from day one.
- A background in outsourcing, BPO or offshore staffing is a bonus but not required. This has been a natural transition for BDMs coming from platforms, software and technology providers, licensee and dealer groups, SMSF and administration providers, funds management, insurance and other product businesses selling into planning practices.
- Previous financial planning experience is ideal, though not required - you have enough sector knowledge to hold a credible conversation about how a planning practice actually runs.
- Most importantly, you're a genuine hunter with real prospecting discipline behind you. You know your daily call and outreach numbers, you fill the bucket before it empties, and you're comfortable being knocked back and going again.
- Culturally, you'll suit a low-ego, drama-free team, and you're genuinely self-disciplined enough to own your activity and results in a fully remote, autonomous BDM role.
On offer is a competitive base salary (negotiable on relevant experience, networks) plus super and uncapped commissions, with a realistic $180K-$200K OTE. Interviewing now!
