Role Description The Business Excellence Manager is a part-time, remote role focused on enhancing CSF’s operational efficiency and program effectiveness. This role involves analyzing existing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing best practices that support the foundation’s mission and growth. The manager will collaborate with leadership and program teams to streamline workflows, develop performance metrics, and ensure consistent, high-quality execution of grant and outreach programs.

Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting and interpreting data, documenting processes, recommending process changes, and monitoring outcomes to drive continuous improvement. The role also includes contributing to strategic planning and helping build scalable systems that support long-term organizational sustainability.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in Business Process Improvement and Business Process design and documentation,



with the ability to map and optimize workflows.
- Experience in Process Excellence and Operational Excellence, including implementing standards, controls, and best practices across programs.
- Advanced Analytical Skills, with the ability to use data to assess performance, identify trends, and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment, manage part-time workload independently, and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.
- Relevant experience in nonprofit operations, renewable energy, or grant-funded programs is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfort with digital tools for project management, documentation, and data analysis (e.g., spreadsheets, CRM, workflow platforms).
