Role Description The Business Support Analyst is a part-time hybrid role based in Sydney, NSW, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The role involves analyzing business processes and financial data to provide actionable insights that support AISSM’s programs and strategic initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include collecting and interpreting operational and financial information, preparing reports and dashboards, and supporting business planning and performance tracking.

The analyst will collaborate with program teams to streamline workflows, improve data quality, and enhance decision-making. Additional responsibilities may include supporting grant applications, contributing to impact measurement frameworks, and communicating findings to internal and external stakeholders in a clear and accessible manner.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills and Business Analysis capabilities to interpret data, identify trends, and support evidence-based decisions.
- Candidates should possess solid Finance skills to assist with budgeting,



financial modeling, and assessment of project and investment viability.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to present complex information clearly, prepare reports, and collaborate with diverse teams and partners.
- Candidates should possess Business Process skills to document workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to operational systems.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in business, finance, economics, data analytics, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in non-profit, international development, or natural resources sectors is an advantage.
- Proficiency in productivity and data tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, basic data visualization) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities in a part-time hybrid environment, and maintain high attention to detail.
