Our client who is a leader in the manufacturing of high-quality timber and metal doors for residential and commercial projects is seeking Welders for their facility in Melbourne's Bayside suburbs.

Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble and weld thin gauge metal components to various specifications as required from relevant detailed drawings
- MIG and TIG light gauge steel 1.1mm to 3mm - Zincaneal, Galvabond, Mild Steel and Stainless Steel
- Grind and clean all steel, polish stainless Steel
- Inspect completed welds for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet required standards and structural integrity
- Adjust components where necessary using a grinder or other cutting tools
- Fit components using jigs
- General jobbing work fitting special hardware
- Read and understand workshop drawings
- Fabrication of profile lengths using bending and cutting machinery
- Identify different material types and thicknesses
- Conduct quality control checks on own Work
- Complete required paperwork
- Work within tolerance; ensure quality in the product
- Maintaining production levels as required
Experience & Skills Required
- Sheet metal or equivalent work experience
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to read a tape measure, pressure gauge, level and square
- Must be able to set the welding machine
