As client demand for AI grows, we're adding a dedicated role to help lead and build on our existing AI framework – guiding clients through AI adoption.

The Role

n

This is a strategic, dual-mandate role reporting into Orbitel's leadership team. You'll be the person our clients turn to for grounded, trustworthy AI advice – and the person shaping how Orbitel itself uses AI to deliver better outcomes internally. You'll have real ownership over how this function is built, backed by 20+ years of client trust and technical credibility.

1. Client AI Adoption

n

- Assess client readiness for AI and identify practical, low-risk opportunities
n
- Build AI adoption roadmaps tailored to each client's size, industry, and goals
n
- Evaluate and recommend AI tools and platforms suited to SME environments
n
- Deliver staff training and awareness sessions so clients adopt AI with confidence
n

2. Internal AI Capability

n

n
- Identify and implement AI tools to improve Orbitel's own service delivery
n
- Pilot and evaluate emerging AI capabilities before wider rollout
n
- Report on adoption outcomes, risks, and ROI to leadership
n
- Stay current with the fast-moving AI landscape, attending workshops, conferences, and industry events to continually upskill and bring new thinking back to the team
n

What We're Looking For

n

Demonstrated experience in a senior client-facing role — account management, IT consulting, or AI advisory — where you've built trust and driven outcomes for business clients

n

Able to work at both a strategic level and get hands-on when needed (tool configuration, workflow building)

n

Ability to translate AI capability into plain-language,



business-focused advice

n

Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and risk considerations around AI

n

Comfortable working directly with SME business owners and managers

n

A builder's mindset – happy to shape a new function without a fixed playbook

n

Background in IT services, consulting, or a related technical field is highly regarded

n

This is a genuine ground-floor role with real ownership and scope to shape how Orbitel delivers AI advisory to clients. You'll join an established, well-regarded local Adelaide business where your work will be highly visible, working directly alongside the Managing Director rather than several layers removed from decision-making. You'll have the autonomy to define processes and standards, with a long-term opportunity to grow this into a dedicated AI team that you help build and lead.
