Overview

Ruby on Rails Developer – Paxus, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. We are seeking a skilled Developer to contribute to the construction and enhancement of services for a Learning Management System and integration of teaching products. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will provide high-quality software development services to key stakeholders, drive best practices in technology, and support continuous improvement within the team.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Develop and maintain web applications using frameworks such as Ruby on Rails or .Net.
n
- Design and implement Object-Oriented solutions, Service-Oriented Architecture, and APIs.
n
- Integrate systems through APIs and enhance existing application processes.
n
- Collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions.
n
- Mentor and provide quality assurance for junior team members.
n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
n
- Promote and embody organisational values including integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence, and discovery.
n

Key Skills & Experience

n

n
- Proven web development experience with Ruby on Rails, .Net, or similar frameworks.
n
- Solid background in Object-Oriented design, Service-Oriented Architecture, and API development.
n
- Experience in system integration through APIs.
n




- Experience with relational data modeling and SQL (highly desirable).
n
- Ability to analyze application processes and implement improvements.
n
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Experience with Agile/SCRUM development methodologies.
n
- Knowledge of identity management technologies such as SAML, OAuth, and SCIM.
n

Qualifications

n

n
- Graduate degree with at least 3 years relevant experience; OR
n
- Equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
n
