Position Information

Greystanes Public School provides a welcoming and inclusive learning environment, supported by strong partnerships with students, families and the wider community. The school has an enrolment of approximately 582 students, with 72% from language backgrounds other than English.

Greystanes Public School is staffed by a dedicated team of experience educators who work collaboratively to deliver evidence-informed teaching and personalised support. Current school priorities focus on Literacy, Numeracy and Engaging Connections, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and professional learning.

The school hosts two Prospect Classes (OC) for Year 5 and Year 6 high potential and gifted students, as well as an Autism support class. The school also offers a broad range of creative, performing and sporting opportunities. Greystanes Public School is well supported by an active parent community.

Specific Selection Criteria

1. Approval to teach Infants (K-2)/Primary, with a demonstrated ability to use evidence based teaching practices and student data to plan, assess, and deliver high-quality, differentiated literacy and numeracy programs.

Exemplary classroom management and the ability to foster a positive and inclusive classroom learning environment to enhance student engagement and wellbeing.

3. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work as part of a collaborative team and commitment to build positive and authentic relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community.

4. Demonstrated ability and willingness to lead extracurricular opportunities and whole-school activities that support and engage students.

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
