Vitelli's in Surry Hills is seeking a Casual Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. This temporary role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment. As a Commis Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting our chefs in delivering high-quality dishes, ensuring that our guests enjoy an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items under the guidance of senior chefs
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to
- Support the team during service periods to ensure timely delivery of meals
- Help with stock management and inventory control
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance culinary skills

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a commis chef role or similar
