We are seeking a candidate to join our Public Sector claims team at Marsh Australia in the role of Claims Consultant. This role will be based in our Sydney office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

n

This role is integral to the delivery of claims management services to our clients. You will handle a portfolio of general insurance claims for Local Government clients, with a focus on liability claims.

n

We will count on you to:

n

n
- Manage end-to-end processes for a mixed portfolio of primarily Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and Property claims;
n
- Conduct accurate reserving, claims investigation, manage claims costs, and negotiate with various third parties;
n
- Build and maintain rapport with clients;
n
- Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including brokers, underwriters, and reinsurers.

What you need to have:

n

n
- Good written and oral communication skills;
n
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to work flexibly when required;
n
- The ability to work in Australia.
n
- We are open to receiving applications from candidates new to the industry, as well as experienced candidates. Salary will be dependent on experience.

The following, while not required, would be highly regarded:

- Previous experience managing public liability / casualty claims;
n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Law, Business/Commerce, Loss Adjusting or ANZIIF studies;
n
- Previous client facing experience.
