Associate Structural Engineer – Aspect Personnel

Location: Melbourne CBD, VIC – Full‐time, Permanent – Leadership role.

Salary: $140K-$160K+ package (negotiable based on experience). With a strong pipeline of mid‐rise residential and public sector projects (including schools and government‐owned buildings) this is a fantastic opportunity for a technically skilled engineer looking for a mix of project diversity, strategic influence, and team leadership.

About the role

n

As Associate Structural Engineer, you will:

n

n
- Lead and manage the structural design and delivery of mid‐rise residential buildings and government‐funded developments across Melbourne.
n
- Drive technical excellence across projects, overseeing design, documentation, and quality assurance.
n
- Support business growth by leveraging your industry connections and building robust relationships with developers, government bodies, architects, and builders.
n
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, supporting their technical and professional growth.
n
- Collaborate closely with Directors to contribute to strategic direction, client engagement, and project acquisition.
n

What we're looking for

n

n
- 8–12 years' structural engineering experience, ideally with a focus on mid‐rise residential projects.
n




- Exposure to government/public sector buildings (schools, community infrastructure, etc.) is highly desirable.
n
- Strong technical background – capable of overseeing complex structural systems and ensuring compliance with Australian Standards.
n
- Well‐connected in the Melbourne property and construction market – comfortable engaging with clients and building lasting relationships.
n
- Confident leader and communicator who can contribute to both project and business development.
n
- CPEng or working towards it is preferred.
n
