An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Manager – Grid to join a fast-growing, next-generation data center developer and operator. This organisation is at the forefront of delivering large-scale, high-performance compute infrastructure powered by renewable energy, with a strong focus on sustainability and community impact.

This is a high-impact role where you'll play a critical part in the development of new data center projects, working at the intersection of energy networks, regulation, and major infrastructure delivery.

The Role

n

You will take ownership of grid connection strategy and execution across multiple projects, both locally and internationally. Responsibilities will include:

n

- Managing grid connection applications with AEMO and Transmission Network Service Providers (TNSPs)
n
- Leading technical and commercial negotiations in collaboration with engineering, legal, and commercial teams
n
- Engaging and managing external grid consultants, including tendering, onboarding and oversight of connection and power system studies
n
- Acting as the primary point of contact with AEMO, TNSPs, external consultants and relevant OEMs
n




- Assessing project risks related to network constraints, grid access and regulatory change
n
- Providing strategic input into grid connection design and project optimisation
n
- Contributing to long‐term development strategy, including early site identification and international expansion
n

About You

n

n
- Strong experience with grid connection processes for renewable energy, data center, or large‐scale infrastructure assets
n
- Background from a TNSP, developer, consultancy or OEM, with hands‐on experience leading connection applications
n
- Comfortable managing complex, high‐pressure timelines while maintaining a strategic mindset
n
- Excellent communicator with a collaborative, cross‐functional working style
n
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
n
- International project experience is highly regarded
n
