Responsibilities

n

n
- Support development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of Financial Crime Risk detection systems and data workplace.
n
- Contribute to process and system documentation updates.
n
- Design technical data mappings, including transformation rules.
n
- Participate in data governance, business rule definition, and documentation.
n
- Produce data analytics reports related to Financial Crime Risk, including exploratory analytics and management reporting.
n
- Assist with financial crime projects and operational changes following regulatory updates.
n
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial crime prevention methods.
n
- Support Financial Crime Operations and other projects impacting Financial Crime Risk.
n
- Liaise with operational and technology teams across the BOQ Group.
n
- Adhere to regulatory obligations and internal policies.
n
- Stay updated on new data analytics technologies and AML/CTF trends.
n

Minimum Experience & Skills

n

n
- 8+ years overall experience, with 4+ years in AML and Fincrime testing.
n
- Proficiency in programming languages and analytics tools (SQL, R, Python, Power BI); SQL skills preferred.
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
n
- Ability to work independently or in teams.
n

n

Desirable Attributes

n

n
- Additional qualifications in Data Science and Financial Crime Risk (e.g., ACAMS).
n
- Experience with Financial Crime detection systems, transaction monitoring, screening, and case management.
n
- Experience overseeing AML/CTF systems and controls.
n
- Experience in data infrastructure design and development.
n
- Proficiency in data analytics tools like Python, R, and Databricks.
n
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques.
n

Nice to Have

n

- Australian Banking experience.
n
- Lending and Test Automation experience.
n

n
