About the Role The Category Manager (Formulary) is responsible for leading category management, strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives within HSV's pharmaceutical portfolio, while playing a pivotal role in the development and ongoing implementation of the Victorian Statewide Medicines Formulary.

Working closely with clinicians, pharmacists, Victorian public health services, Safer Care Victoria, the Department of Health and pharmaceutical suppliers, you will lead the analysis of medicines data, stakeholder requirements and market intelligence to support statewide formulary decision-making and improve access to safe, effective and value-based medicines across Victoria.

Note: This is a 12-month Fixed term contract

Key Accountabilities Include, but are not limited to:

- Leading formulary development activities, including medicines analysis, stakeholder engagement and support for the Victorian Statewide Medicines Formulary.
- Managing end-to-end sourcing and procurement processes, including tender development, evaluation,



negotiations and contract implementation for pharmaceutical categories.
- Building collaborative relationships with clinicians, pharmacists, health services, government stakeholders and pharmaceutical suppliers to achieve statewide outcomes.
- Conducting market, financial and utilisation analysis to identify cost drivers, risks, opportunities and procurement strategies.
- Managing supplier performance and contract outcomes to ensure value delivery, supply continuity and continuous improvement.

About You

- Experience in category management, procurement, strategic sourcing or commercial contract management.
- Experience working with pharmaceutical products, medicines procurement, pharmacy services or healthcare-related programs is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex data and translate insights into practical recommendations and strategies.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clinicians, pharmacists, executives and suppliers.
- Tertiary qualifications in procurement, commerce, business, supply chain or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- An understanding of medicines formulary management, health sector procurement or clinical governance frameworks will be highly desirable.
