Role Description The Center Manager is a full-time, in office role based in Brunswick West, VIC, responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operations of the child care center. This role oversees staff, schedules, and workflows to ensure high-quality educational programs aligned with the EYLF and integrated kindergarten requirements.

The Center

Manager supports educators in curriculum planning, maintains compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards, and manages enrollment, fees, and documentation. Daily tasks include building positive relationships with families, responding to inquiries and feedback, coordinating community engagement activities, and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children and staff. The role also involves monitoring budgets, reporting to the management team,



and leading continuous improvement initiatives across the center.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in early childhood center leadership, including staff supervision, team coordination, and performance support.
- Experience in operational management, covering scheduling, resource allocation, compliance monitoring, and administrative processes.
- Strong capabilities in family and community engagement, with the ability to build collaborative, respectful relationships and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), integrated kindergarten programs, and contemporary early childhood pedagogy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education, Education Management, or a related field; meeting regulatory requirements for center management.
- Experience working in long day care or kindergarten settings, with familiarity in national quality standards and licensing requirements.
- Proficiency with basic office software and child care management systems, and the ability to learn new digital tools as needed.
- Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices and creating a safe, supportive environment for children, families, and staff.
