Make a meaningful contribution to Chaplaincy Services across the NSW correctional system.
The Civil Chaplaincies Advisory Committee (CCAC), in partnership with Corrective Services NSW, is seeking an organised, proactive and values-driven Chaplaincy Support Officer to provide high-level administrative, governance and operational support to Chaplaincy Services across New South Wales.
Working closely with the Chaplaincy Coordinator, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the effective delivery of Chaplaincy Services that support the spiritual and pastoral care needs of people in custody, the staff and their families.
This position is employed through a CCAC-affiliated Religious Member Organisation (RMO), which will act as the employing body.
About the Role
As the Chaplaincy Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing efficient administrative and coordination support that enables the smooth operation of chaplaincy services and governance activities.
You will
- Coordinate meetings, events and administrative processes.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, agendas and committee papers.
- Support governance, compliance and policy implementation.
- Maintain accurate records and information management systems.
- Monitor and track documentation, reporting requirements and compliance activities.
- Liaise professionally with Chaplains, Religious Member Organisations, Corrective Services NSW staff and committee members.
- Support effective communication and collaboration across a diverse stakeholder network.
- Handle confidential information with integrity, discretion and professionalism.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must
- Be supported by a Religious Member Organisation affiliated with the Civil Chaplaincies Advisory Committee.
- Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

- Be willing to work within the governance framework of the CCAC and Corrective Services NSW.
- Able to successfully achieve clearance through Corrective Services NSW.
Location - Hybrid working arrangement This role combines work from home with attendance at the offices of the employing Religious Member Organisation and/or Corrective Services NSW Head Office as required for operational needs.
Position Details
Commencement: November or by negotiation

Remuneration: Salary and employment conditions will be negotiated through the employing Religious Member Organisation, based on funding provided by Corrective Services NSW.
