What you will do
n
n
- Within the Cold end/Packaging area, oversee and manage the production, quality and inspection/packaging processes.
n
- Operate and maintain automated machinery and systems to ensure glass products meet quality standards and production targets.
n
- Operate and maintain automated equipment (annealing lehrs, inspection machines, transport, and packing systems).
n
- Monitor and adjust cooling/annealing processes to meet production specifications.
n
- Conduct visual and automated inspections for defects.
n
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical and process issues.
n
- Support continuous improvement efforts and maintain accurate records of production data and quality metrics.
n

Position details
n
n
- Rotating shift:
8-hour shifts with two consecutive weekends off every five weeks.
n
- Full training provided through the Visy Training Academy.
n
- Starting rate from $40 per hour (Plus OT and Shift Allowance) onwards.
n

What you will bring to the team
n
n
- First experience in operating automated machinery or production lines, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
n
- Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
n
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
n
- A team player who communicates well and works collaboratively.
n
- A strong safety mindset and a proactive approach to safety.
n
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and process optimisation.
n
