About the Job
n
There is an exciting opportunity with the Parks and Gardens to serve as a Playgrounds and Public Open Space Officer. The role contributes to the maintenance and development of the Shire's public open space and playground infrastructure as a member of the Parks and Reserve Team.
n
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
n
n
- General inspections, monitoring, maintenance and construction of public open space and playground infrastructure.
n
- Maintain public open space and playground facilities in a clean and tidy condition by removing litter, cleaning amenities, servicing and general infrastructure maintenance.
n
- Installation of general public open space and playground infrastructure and implementation of maintenance programs.
n
n
This is a permanent full‐time position, 85 hours per fortnight.
n
About you
n
In order to succeed and thrive in this position you must have:
n
n
- Experience in undertaking public open space and playground infrastructure inspections, maintenance programs, projects and works.
n
- An understanding of construction and plant maintenance techniques relating to public open space and playground infrastructure.
n
- Ability to work within a team environment.
n
n
Benefits

Salary: $83,245.60 (including overtime) per annum
n
Permanent staff are entitled to:
n
n
- 5 weeks annual leave per year
n
- The option of one rostered day off (RDO) every 4 weeks in exchange for working 40 hours per week
n
- Minimum 12% superannuation employer contribution

- Superannuation co‐contribution offered to a maximum of 5%
