About the role

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Lead the design and improvement of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation across AWS, Linux and on-premises environments
- Own platform architecture for release management, environment promotion, deployment patterns and operational runbooks
- Improve developer self-service through automation, standardisation and reusable deployment patterns
- Use platform and deployment metrics to drive continuous improvement and performance uplift
- Provide technical leadership across the platform function, guiding engineering decisions and architecture direction
- Balance strategic planning with hands-on implementation
- Set team objectives, timelines and accountability
- Manage intake, prioritisation and delivery planning for platform work

About You

- Experience leading and developing Platform Engineering or DevOps teams
- Strong experience designing scalable, resilient platforms and CI/CD pipelines from the ground up
- Deep knowledge of deployment automation, Infrastructure as Code and hybrid cloud/on-premises environments
- Full Australian working rights are essential - sponsorship not available
- Strong technical capability across AWS, Linux, Terraform, Ansible, Octopus Deploy or similar tools
- Experience with cloud platforms, container technologies and platform security practices
- A proven ability to mentor, develop and lead a high-performing engineering team
- Exposure to enterprise and SaaS environments, with a track record of scaling solutions
