Exciting opportunity to work with an established client delivering a strong pipeline of retail and food and beverage projects, taking developments from front‐end feasibility through to completion and operations across multiple stages.

n

Our client is an established and highly regarded operator with a strong presence in the retail and food & beverage amongst other sectors. They are now seeking an experienced Senior Development Manager with experience in Retail and F&B; to join their professional and highly experienced team based in Sydney.

n

You will need to demonstrate strong communication skills, commercial acumen, and a problem‐solving mindset. There will be a lot of interfaces with complex stakeholders and you will need strong development management experience within the retail and food & beverage sector.

n

Duties include but not limited to:

n

n
- Managing the end‐to‐end delivery of retail projects from feasibility through to completion and operation
n
- Leading and coordinating consultants across design, approvals and construction phases
n
- Managing DA, CC and authority approval processes with councils and key stakeholders
n
- Driving design management and ensuring outcomes align with commercial and leasing objectives
n
- Managing construction delivery, program, quality and risk (might be shared with a Project Manager)
n
- Control of project cash flow, budgets and month‐end financial reporting
n




- Managing project design documentation and consultant outputs
n
- Reviewing and marking up drawings to provide clear technical and commercial direction
n
- Attending all project and stakeholder meetings
n

Skills & Experience:

n

n
- 7 to 10+ years' experience in development management, project management or head contracting. Must have strong development management experience.
n
- Strong exposure to retail and food & beverage projects
n
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Property, Construction Management, Engineering, or similar
n
- Sound understanding of the retail development lifecycle from feasibility to handover
n
- Strong technical capability in consultant coordination and construction delivery
n
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
- Highly proactive, self‐directed and commercially astute
n
- Strong problem‐solving capability
n
- Superior knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
n
