Bed Holdings Pty Ltd T/As Kappy's Restaurant located at Guildford WA 6055 is a family owned and operated traditional Italian trattoria which has been operating for 20 years. We are currently looking for a full-time Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. The position is available for an immediate start.

Some of the duties and responsibilities are:

- Prepare and cook all menus at Kappy's, including standard menus, specials and seasonal menus, and ensuring that the food taste meets Kappy's recipes and standards.
- Able to adjust recipes without compromising taste to meet customers' specific requests, e.g. to cater for allergies.
- Monitor and ensuring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and cooking.
- Ensuring high standards of presentation for all dishes served.
- Awareness of the available ingredients in the Kitchen at all times, ensuring efficiency in ingredients used in preparing each dish, so as to minimize waste.
- Discussing food preparation with Managers, other Chefs and waiting staff.




- Assist Head Chef in ordering food supplies.
- Work together with Head Chef in planning menus, including special menus.
- Work together with Head Chef in estimating food and labour costs, to ensure effective kitchen operation so as to maximise profit.
- Assist Head Chef in food handling, e.g. freezing and preserving food.
- Assist Head Chef in selecting and training staff, when required.
- Diligently implement good hygiene practices at all times, in preparation of food, and also in work areas, as per OH&S; Regulations.
- Perform other reasonable duties as directed by Head Chef.

Skills / Experience / Specific Qualifications Required:
- Trade qualification in Cookery preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in similar role.
- Able to work under pressure during busy periods.
- Experience in preparing Italian cuisine and sauces is essential.
- Knowledge of seasonal food products and supplies are highly regarded.
