Chef – Kandos Hotel
Kandos Hotel is looking for an experienced and reliable Chef to join our team.
Our kitchen serves quality pub favourites, weekly specials and meals for functions and busy event weekends. We’re looking for someone who works well under pressure, takes pride in the food they prepare and enjoys being part of a friendly local team.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing and presenting consistent, high-quality meals
- Managing food preparation and kitchen service
- Assisting with menu planning and weekly specials
- Maintaining food safety, hygiene and cleaning standards
- Monitoring stock levels, ordering and reducing food waste
- Supporting and supervising other kitchen team members
- Working closely with front-of-house staff to provide great customer service
About you
- Previous experience in a busy commercial kitchen
- Relevant cookery qualifications or equivalent experience
- Robust knowledge of food safety and kitchen procedures
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently
- Calm and efficient during busy services
- Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
- A positive attitude and willingness to be part of the wider hotel team
