Gpo bar and cafe The successful chef needs to be competent across all sections in the kitchen and have experience working in fast-paced commercial establishment. Benefits The chef's position is a full time role (38 Hours Per Week) which provides a great work-life balance. Task & responsibilities Assist head chef to manage kitchen operations.
Complete daily prep and cook food as per orders during service. Meet dietary requirements when required. Assist head chef when required, run kitchen when head chef isn't in kitchen.
Complete stock orders as per kitchen procedures. Oversee daily/weekly kitchen cleaning roster, maintaining kitchen and equipment to standards. Coordinate kitchen staff and assist / train staff as required.
Responsible for kitchen equipment and machinery are operational and operational at all times.
Assist head chef to plan menus, keeping in mind budget and availability of seasonal ingredients. Work to and manage all health and safety standards at all times.
Qualification & experience
- Trade Certificate in Commercial Cookery is desirable.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience required working in a busy commercial kitchen.
