- Lead Australia's national peak body focused on ending men’s use of family violence
- Drive a national movement for systemic and social change
- CEO role with a focused national mandate
The organisation No to Violence (NTV) is the national peak body for organisations and individuals committed to ending men’s use of family violence. It has grown significantly in recent years, with staff now working across Australia. NTV is now completing a demerger that will sharpen its focus as the national peak body, with a clearer mandate across advocacy, policy, research, sector and workforce development, while continuing to provide key national information and referral pathways.
The opportunity
Reporting to the NTV Board, the Chief Executive Officer leads a team post-demerger of more than 50 staff across Australia, backed by $12m+ in annual government funding, and oversees a newly restructured Advocacy & Sector Impact Division including advocacy, policy, research, sector development and workforce learning. This is one of the most important CEO roles in the family violence sector: the next CEO will deliver the 2026–30 Strategic Plan, Growing a Movement, extend NTV's national reach and public profile, and keep building a high-performing, psychologically secure culture.
About you
- An enterprise leader. A track record of turning strategy into delivery, building executive capability, and leading confidently through complexity and change.
- Purpose-led and values-aligned. Strong alignment with NTV’s purpose,
feminist foundations and values, and a genuine understanding of the gendered drivers of domestic and family violence.
- A trusted influencer.
Politically astute, with a track record of building trust and exercising influence with members, governments, funders and sector partners, and comfortable representing an organisation publicly.
- A leader who brings people with them. Experience leading a team through real structural change, while building and protecting a healthy, accountable culture.
Prior CEO experience is preferred, though an outstanding senior executive with broad, enterprise-wide responsibility will also be considered. No to Violence encourages applications from people of all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and warmly welcomes applicants with lived experience.
