About the Role

n

As a Health, Safety, Environment and Training Coordinator, you will work closely with site leadership teams to support the effective implementation of Barminco's HSE management systems and foster a strong safety culture throughout our operations.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

n
- Supporting site leadership teams in the implementation and continuous improvement of Barminco's safety management systems
n
- Driving company-wide initiatives that enhance health, safety, environmental, and training performance
n
- Promoting a proactive safety culture and operational excellence across all levels of the workforce
n




- Providing expert guidance and mentoring on HSE management systems
n
- Coaching and developing leaders in critical risk management processes
n
- Engaging with clients regarding WHS activities and monitoring site safety performance indicators
n
- Preparing and distributing weekly and monthly HSE reports, presentations, and safety communications
n
- Leading incident investigations and overseeing corrective actions and hazard reporting processes
n
- Coordinating rehabilitation and return-to-work programs, including liaison with health professionals and injured workers
n
- Identifying opportunities to improve safety, environmental, quality, and training systems and processes
n
- Conducting and coordinating site-based drug and alcohol testing, fitness assessments, and hydration monitoring
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or higher qualification)
n
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
n
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Health and Safety role
n
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and incident investigation processes
n
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills
n
- Ability to influence positive safety behaviours across all levels of an organisation
n
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
n

n

Highly Desirable:

n

n
- Underground operational knowledge
n
- Experience working within the mining or heavy industrial sectors
n
- Return-to-work and injury management experience
n

n
