Medical Device Assembly Technician (multiple roles)

Care Essentials is an Australian medical device manufacturer. We make warming machines/blankets, PPE including N95/P2 respirators, CSSD wraps and other medical consumables. Our products are made in Australia and exported to over 70 countries and the company enjoys a good reputation.

Due to rapid expansion, we are looking for multiple device assembly technicians to join our Patient Warming Device assembly team. As a team member, you will be involved in various stages of the device assembly and testing process.

The roles are fulltime casual with a view to becoming permanent. There is opportunity to grow into a Supervisor role for those with prior experience and valuable work attitude.

Responsibilities

- Assembly and testing of medical devices
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs and inspections
- Follow established protocols and verification processes during assembly and testing




- Assist with verification and validation tasks to ensure compliance and product quality
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairing electronic devices
- Assist in various R&D; projects related to medical devices
- Assist with device packing

Skills and experience

- Certificate from TAFE or equivalent in electronics or electrical, mechatronics or sufficient on the job experience doing similar work.
- Familiarity with test and tagging procedure, test and tag certification and AS/NZS 3551 standards knowledge is an added advantage.
- Prior experience in device assembly and repair is a plus
- Proficiency in using electric and hand tools for assembly and repairs
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work
- positive attitude and strong team player, able to collaborate effectively with others
