In this role, you will be part of a dynamic group responsible for the assessment and review of over 500 development applications (DA's) per year across an area of approximately 290km. You will encounter a diverse range of projects, from residential and commercial to industrial and rural developments.

- Competitive Salary: From $91,252 to $99,464 plus super (based on qualifications and experience)

Responsibilities:
n
Reporting to the Coordinator Development Assessment, key responsibilities include:
n
n
- Reviewing and assessing development applications (DA's).
n
- Providing advice on development proposals and land use matters.
n
- Conducting on-site inspections of developments and land.
n
- Collaborating with various stakeholders, including the general public, developers, elected representatives, and other Council staff.
n
n
About you:
n
n
- Recognised tertiary qualifications in town planning.
n
- Prior experience in a similar role within Development Assessment
n
- A valid driver's license.
n
- Knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, the Local Government Act, and relevant environmental legislation.
n
- High level communication and problem-solving skills.
n
- Eligibility for Corporate membership with the Planning Institute Australia.
n
