Claims Adjuster – Liability

Salary: $80K – $90K +Super

Are you an experienced claims skilled looking to make a meaningful impact within a respected global insurer? We are seeking a Claims Adjuster – Liability to manage a varied portfolio of claims across our Liability line of business. In this role, you will assess, investigate and resolve claims with accuracy, care and commercial judgement, while delivering a high standard of service to brokers, claimants and internal stakeholders.

This opportunity can be based in our Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane offices. We support hybrid working, with three days in the office and two days working from home each week.

What you will do:

- Manage Liability claims from notification through to resolution, including assessment of coverage, liability and quantum.
- Review policy documents,



claim submissions and supporting evidence to determine claim validity and entitlement.
- Coordinate investigations directly, or through loss adjusters and legal partners, including gathering evidence, interviewing relevant parties and engaging experts where required.
- Prepare clear, professional correspondence, including claim decisions, settlement offers and denial letters, in line with company guidelines.
- Support brokers and claimants throughout the claims process by explaining coverage, requirements and settlement procedures.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes and best-practice claims handling standards.

What you will bring:

- Strong knowledge of Liability claims, together with relevant Australian regulatory requirements.
- At least 2 years’ relevant experience in a claims role within general insurance.
- Competency in Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with brokers, claimants and internal stakeholders.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
