We're looking for a reliable and professional Casual Cleaner to join our Bundaberg Rehabilitation team. This is an opportunity to contribute to a service that supports people on their recovery journey while working as part of a supportive and dedicated team.

About the Role

As a Cleaner, you'll play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment across our residential rehabilitation and detox services.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support the day-to-day presentation and cleanliness of the facility while helping us maintain high standards of infection control and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean bathrooms, shared facilities and common areas.
- Clean offices, meeting rooms and administration spaces.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop and maintain floors.
- Undertake kitchen and general facility cleaning.
- Assist with linen replacement and laundering requirements.
- Maintain infection control and hygiene standards.




- Support the cleanliness and presentation of detox and rehabilitation facilities.
- Assist with the movement of stock and equipment as required.

About You You are dependable, professional and take pride in delivering high-quality work.

You understand the importance of confidentiality and professional boundaries and are comfortable working within a residential alcohol and other drug treatment setting.

Essential Requirements

- Minimum 12 months' paid cleaning experience.
- Demonstrated ability to carry out the physical requirements of cleaning work.
- Strong reliability and attendance record.
- Ability to work flexibly and respond to shift requests at short notice, including same-day cover where required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Ability to obtain a National Police Check.

Desirable

- Experience working within healthcare, rehabilitation, community or residential services.
- Knowledge of infection control principles.
- Experience working around vulnerable people and diverse communities.

Working in a Residential Rehabilitation Environment This role is based within a residential alcohol and other drug treatment service.





While this is not a clinical role, you will regularly work around residents, visitors and staff. We are looking for someone who:

- Maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Understands professional boundaries.
- Demonstrates respect and professionalism in all interactions.
- Remains calm and respectful when working around people who may be experiencing challenges associated with withdrawal, recovery or rehabilitation.
- Understands when to seek support from clinical or residential staff if required.
