Volunteer Prospect – Support Mealtimes for People Living with Dementia HammondCare at Woy Woy or Erina Aged Care Home
n
Do you have a caring nature and a bit of time to spare? We're looking for compassionate volunteers to support residents living with dementia during mealtimes at our aged care home.
n
By assisting at 12pm (lunch) or 5pm (dinner), you'll help create a calm, supportive, and enjoyable dining experience. This may include helping residents to the dining room, offering encouragement during meals, and providing a warm, friendly presence.

Your patience, empathy, and kindness can make a real difference to someone's day.

What's involved:

- Volunteering during mealtimes (12pm or 5pm daily – choose what suits you)
n
- Supporting residents with gentle encouragement and conversation
n
- Being a calm and reassuring presence
n
n
Whether you can give your time once a week or more often, your support will be truly valued.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

- 18 years or older NDIS Worker Screening Checkarranged and paid for by HammondCare
n
- Ideally you will be available for an hour (or longer) at 12pm or 5pm to assist with meal times Monday to Sunday.
