About The Role
n
You will provide support:
n
n
- To a young male participant.
n
- Assisting with personal care and daily living activities.
n
- Assisting safe manual handling, transfers, and positioning (including hoist transfers).
n
- Mobility support and use of mobility equipment.
n
- Supporting participation in meaningful activities at home and in the community.
n
- Building a positive and respectful relationship with the participant.
n
- Following individual support plans and established care routines.
n
n
About You
n
We are looking for a support worker who is:
n
n
- Female (participant preference).
n
- Confident supporting people with complex physical disabilities.
n
- Experienced in manual handling and personal care.
n
- Calm, patient, and respectful.
n
- Reliable and committed to providing consistent support.
n
- Able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with families and support teams.
n
- Passionate about promoting dignity, choice, and inclusion.
n
n
Shifts Available (Ongoing)
n
n
- Tuesday 4-6pm.
n
- Wednesday 3:30-5:30pm.
n
- Thursday 6:30-8:30am.
n
n
Additional shifts may be available in the future, subject to needs and roster availability.
n
What We're Looking For
n
n
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Disability Support Worker.
n
- Experience with manual handling,
hoists and other high-care skills.
n
- Ability to provide personal care, domestic assistance, and social support.
n
- Proactive approach to supporting clients to achieve goals and maintain community connections.
n
- Strong English communication skills.
n
- Physically capable of supporting regular outings and activities.
n
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
n
- Providing support with domestic assistance and household tasks.
n
- Supporting community access and participation.
n
- Assisting the participant to maintain independence in their daily routine.
n
- Building positive relationships with the participant and their support network.
n
- Working collaboratively with family members and the broader care team.
n
- Providing practical support tailored to the participant's individual needs.
n
- Following care plans and maintaining accurate documentation.
n
n
Compliance Requirements
n
n
- NDIS Workers Screening Check (Service NSW).
n
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate.
n
- Working with Children Check (WWCC).
n
- Preferably driving with a full Australian driver's licence, own car with comprehensive car insurance.
n
