What it's like to work with us | West Moreton Health About The Role The Clinical Nurse Consultant (Patient Safety and Quality) is a registered nurse who is accountable for practice at an advanced level, to provide specialist advice and support to the Patient Safety and Quality team and the clinical divisions across West Moreton Health on all aspects of clinical safety and quality improvement. The Clinical Nurse Consultant (Patient Safety and Quality) provides dedicated support to one or more clinical divisions in a business partner model and holds HHS-wide responsibility as portfolio expert for one or more National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.

About You

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

- Expert knowledge and experience in applying contemporary patient safety, quality improvement, audit, and risk management methodologies within a general healthcare setting, to meet current accreditation standards.




- Ability to provide consultative leadership, direction, and advice to a range of stakeholders in the implementation and evaluation of safety and quality programs and initiatives.
- Demonstrated high-level critical analysis, problem-solving and decision-making skills using a systematic, evidence-based approach with a solution focus.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team to gain trust, support others, constructively negotiate ambiguity and conflict, and value and respect difference.

Mandatory Requirements

- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
